Tour TAFB's Learning Garden

Friday, July 5, 2019, 5:00 PM

Interested in starting a community garden? Join us for a tour of a working community garden and learn how community gardens help feed those who are hungry. Social service agencies, faith-based organizations, community service groups and the general public are all welcome. Tarrant Area Food Bank's Community Garden program operates the TAFB Learning Garden in Fort Worth for training and demonstrations. Produce grown in the garden is distributed to local agencies serving those in need. The TAFB Learning Garden showcases a wide variety of gardening techniques, materials and planting methods to inspire others to start their own gardening projects.  Following a tour, we invite you to participate in training opportunities and take advantage of other free resources we provide to support community gardens. Explore our seed bank to choose from a variety of seeds to plant in your own garden. Since 2011, TAFB's Community Garden program has helped more than 25 social service agencies, faith-based organizations and community service groups start their own garden projects in and around Fort Worth, ensuring fresh produce for hungry neighbors. Reserve your spot today!
