Smart Connections: Building Bridges Between Health Care & Education

Overview This two-day telemedicine learning event gives school and healthcare professionals the opportunity to learn and collaborate with medical experts about how to best implement, grow and sustain an effective school telehealth program. There will be individual presentations and panel discussions on several topics, including quality healthcare in the school setting, policy implications, new technology, and sustainability. Conference Highlights Hear from leaders within the school telehealth community on what a successful school telehealth program looks like and valuable lessons learned Learn about current trends in school health and how technology and innovation are expanding access to health care Hear from representatives of local public, private and charter schools about their own experience with school-based telemedicine programs Interact with industry experts to learn about the different types of technology platforms available, and visit with vendors to sample for demonstrations Network with colleagues who are interested in and beginning to implement other school-based telehealth programs Who Should Attend This conference is for healthcare professionals, school administrators and nurses who either want to start a telemedicine program, or are interested in learning how to advance their current program. Conference Details and Hotel Accommodations Those who register before December 1 will qualify for the $150 “early bird” registration fee. After December 1, prices will increase to $250 per attendee. The conference fee includes reception on Monday evening, breakfast and lunch on Monday and breakfast on Tuesday. Out of town guests are encouraged to reserve rooms at the Magnolia Hotel Dallas Park Cities. Click here to reserve your hotel room Accreditation Children’s Health (Children’s Medical Center) is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association - Approver, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Contact hours will be awarded. Cancellation Policy Cancellations of attendee conference registrations received in writing by March 1, 2019, will be charged a $55.00 administrative fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations received after March 1, 2019. Please send cancellation requests to childrenstelehealth@childrens.com. Substitute attendees will be accepted; follow the link in your confirmation email to make changes to your reservation. Exhibitor cancellations are subject to an administrative fee equal to 50% of the total cost of registration. Requests to cancel must be submitted in writing on company letterhead to childrenstelehealth@childrens.com by March 1, 2019.  After this date, no refunds will be provided.
