Bush Institute, SMU Campus In our continued commitment to advance meaningful changes in education, the Simmons School of Education and Human Development at SMU invites you to our third annual conference, Paving the Way to Inclusion: Race, Place and Schooling for Educational Equity.This conference continues to be a space for the participants to engage in relevant, thought-provoking, and challenging conversations while deepening their knowledge of social and structural forces shaping our educational communities. PK-20 educators and administrators, social sector practitioners, elected officials, students, and parents will participate in breakout sessions led by SMU faculty and community leaders to examine and challenge beliefs and practices about race, gender, and sexuality. Each session includes resources and/or strategies that address the dismantling of oppression and the creation of inclusive learning environments.
