Juneteenth the Stage Play - Fort Worth

Tuesday, June 18, 2019, 7:30 PM

Every year on June 19th millions of people around the world celebrate the Juneteenth tradition. It was started by former slaves as a way to remember when the last slaves were freed in Texas. Co-written, directed and produced by former Dallas Cowboy Greg Ellis, the play explores the strength of faith, love and ingenuity that sustained the slaves to hold on until freedom came. Greg believes in the importance of not forgetting the sacrifices others have made for us to have the freedoms we enjoy today. Check out the trailer  https://vimeo.com/325358453
