Impact House Presents: Intro to Tech Entrepreneurship: User Profile Design Over the next five months, Impact House will be providing a crash course in tech entrepreneurship, testing our curriculum with real life entrepreneurs to gear up for our first accelerator cohort. We'll cover everything from defining your target user, testing out a new product, fundraising, due diligence, and just about everything you need to know to successfully launch a tech/tech-enabled product or service. This month, we're going to talk about User Profile Design. What is a user profile? A user profile is a guide to the wants and need of your customer, plain and simple. So let build them! We'll use virtual reality (VR) to put you in your users' shoes and our guest Design Thinking expert will help you map out their experiences. That way prelaunch, you'll know what your customers want before they do. A Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a product (tech or tech enabled) with just enough features to satisfy early customers, and to provide feedback for future product development. Do I have to have a MVP? No, we work with entrepreneurs from idea stage to product launch/traction/growth stages. What should I bring? Laptop & Note pad. We'll supply the rest. What is an accelerator program? Is a fixed-term, cohort-based programs that includes seed investment (when feasible), connections, mentorship, educational components, and culminate in a public pitch event or demo day to accelerate a startups growth. Do I need to know how to code? No, this workshop is designed to help you learn HOW to test your product or service in the marketplace or with users.
