Dallas Recycling: Zero Waste

Saturday, April 20, 2019, 4:30 PM

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!  When the City’s Zero Waste Plan was passed in 2013, it established the goal of Zero Waste with phases and milestones at specific intervals. What is Zero Waste? The planet has limited natural resources and we must do our part. Zero Waste means a future where landfills are a thing of the past.  Marcos Estrada, Coordinator-Zero Waste for the City of Dallas' Office of Environmental Quality & Sustainability, is our guest to help you understand how what we throw away can impact our city and our environment.  This Earth Day, join City of Dallas' Zero Waste team, and come learn the basics of recycling and where we stand right now with the help of this initiative. FREE.  The City of Dallas established the Office of Environmental Quality & Sustainability (EQS) in 2004 to provide consistent and reliable leadership to the City on the environment and compliance. EQS is committed to leading comprehensive efforts promoting environmental stewardship, sustainability, resource conservation, and environmental compliance with a focus on excellent and equitable service delivery.
